Example full day package for GCSE & A Level

Session 1

  • Be the examiner for GCSE; Using example student responses to understand the marking of short answer question and highlight the importance of Assessment Objectives, command words and there descriptors. Build this into marking and effective preparation of the 6/9 markers

Session 2

  • NEA Questions about practical requirements of NEA at both GCSE and A level

Session 3

  • Analysis and Evaluation; Understand the use of level of response grids for marking. Focus on A&E examples to develop a confidence in achieving the breadth and depth in the written/verbal task

Session 4

  • Extended questions and answers at A level; Prepare learners 8/15 markers. Discuss potential scaffolding models and unpick how to plan for 8 and 15 mark questions
